Review by Jeremias de Leon
Things ramp up to a new insane level as the Infinite 7 are faced with a crisis unwitting to the true purpose of the attack. Seeing things from multiple angles and learning new truths to the characters along the way.
Dave does an excellent job of portraying how chaotic the scene is throughout. Emotions are running high and it’s hard to collect your thoughts when suddenly faced with a huge attack on your own headquarters. But that’s all I’ll say on the plot for right now. You’ll need to read the comic for yourself and find that there’s even more going on this issue than just what I mention here.
The action scenes are fantastic and this book was mostly action so it was a great time reading. The visual homages to other characters and franchises is always a nice touch too. If you can spot them, good job. Some are more obvious than others of course.
Reading this is like an emotional roller coaster. It’s rare these days to have something that I’ve been invested in, but Infinite Seven is one of them. The ending once again blew my expectations out of the water and the awesome action from cover to cover made sure I wasn’t looking away anytime soon. Infinite Seven # 8 earns a 10 out of 10.
