Review by Jeremias de Leon
This issue gets into the details of the villains motives while Aspen seems to be helpless in the hands of her enemies. As villains are want to do the one here, gets into a whole monologue as to why he’ll win and why his side is the best. But Aspen’s course of action is not like a regular hero, nor is her resolve during this part. She stays calm and collected and takes action when she sees her chance.
There is still some great action but this issue definitely slows things down to favor the story. Which definitely sets up the stakes for the next issue.
The art as in previous issues is just as gorgeous as ever. If nothing else these comics are good enough to buy on the art alone. But Blake Northcott really did write a good story.
This issue slows things down and for good reason. The motives of the characters are important to establish and the action that does happen is pretty awesome. All New Fathom # 6 gets an 8.5 out of 10.
