Review by Jeremias de Leon
Aspen Matthews and her friend get sucked into the political world of The Blue when things with government start to get hairy. Important characters are shown and yes, there is still some action in this issue.
This issue is all about setting the stage for future battles, and appropriately features a lot of dialog for it. The characters are all real interesting and their quirks are quite charming, even the characters that are supposed to seen as mean or rude or straight up evil.
The art is fantastic. Throughout this issue there is a good use of perspective and angles. The graphic design is also quite well done. Panel layout looks good and the typography during certain special moments are wonderful. It also seems like the perfect colors are chosen all the time.
As mentioned before this issue is more about building up future events and battles. So it gets wordy. Perhaps too wordy for the reader that just wants more cool fights. For everyone else the characters charm and the bit of action that is present should whet the appetite. All New Fathom # 3 gets a 9 out of 10.
