Moving right along from the previous issue Sandria Darque explains the origins of her and her brother’s power. Giving the team she brought together, which of course included Ninjak, the reason for her having them together. While we learn this and see the team go to work we also see some conflict that comes from Roku’s past. That’s all I’ll give without spoilers.
The writing in this issue is very character focused. I do not know what happens beyond this issue but it seems that there’s going to be a lot of action in it, and this issue lays the groundwork for the characters motivations and feelings. Which it does a good job of.
The art in this issue is fantastic. Like stated before the issue is more on character backstory and development but there is action here and it looks great. Magical attacks, sword swinging and things getting destroyed all look perfect. The character designs look good as well. Roku’s hair being a standout trait among the designs.
This issue of Ninjak was a blast to read. It feels like the stage is being set for something incredible to happen and this issue already has some incredible things happening. Matt Kindt really gets in the heads of his characters and paces the issue well on top of the awesome action. Ninjak # 25 gets a 9.5 out of 10
